SkyBLUE Design was established in 1998 by Monika Khanna Gulati, a communication designer and educator with over eighteen years of diverse experience as entrepreneur, design management consultant, advertising executive and founding member of SkyBLUE Design. She is also visiting faculty for visual communication at the Sushant School of Design, Ansal University, Gurgaon, India.
At SkyBLUE Design, we take an integrated view of all branding, graphic design and corporate communication needs; from strategy formulation to conceptual design through to the actual implementation. This includes graphic design for publications such as magazines, newsletters, brochures, product literature, training manuals, corporate presentations and reports. SkyBLUE Design offers a comprehensive approach to design including Naming and Branding, Identity, Print and Screen Graphics, Packaging, Corporate Event, Environmental and Website Design.
In 2009, we redefined the logo of the National Gallery of Modern Art on the occasion of the inauguration of its New Wing by Ms. Sonia Gandhi. Several new publications as well as a comprehensive way-finding and signage system for the New Wing of the national Gallery were also developed. As the lead design consultant for the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi, we conceptualise and design all the collateral for their exhibitions and also collaborate with leading international museums on their shows with the NGMA. Design collateral include invites, brochures, handouts, wall signage, banners, standees, advertisements and all publicity material.
More recently, we were invited to redesign the ITC Hotels in-house magazine – NAMASTE and have designed the Kerala, Jodhpur and Aravalli issues for them.
We have worked on a wide variety of projects for The British Council, DFID, The World Bank, DRDO, Rapid Metro, UNFPA, UNICEF, Save the Children UK & Duraline-Emerson. Also partnered with several art galleries such as Bodhi Art, Vadhera Art Gallery, Gallerie Nvya and continue to interact closely with leading artists and art-commentators whilst creating their publications.
We also lead an initiative called Sky Blue Design Expressions which organises workshops in Gurgaon (Haryana), seminars in the fields of literature, art and architecture – bringing together experts in these fields and eager enthusiasts.
