Save the leaves

I can never have enough of dry leaves. They fall with humility having done their time up on the tree. Teach me to look down and bow my head from its egoistical incline of self-serving pursuits. Brown leaves gather together, in calling… asking for a walk on them, or just lie on them or just let them be.
Beautiful patjhad is here (leaf fall season). Look down, look within, there must be more meaning to life than our rush to reach.
Get a sackful and let them be in your home. They will remind you in time, how the fallen can become life-giving carbon – like rich soil! Save the leaves – compost them, sack them, pit them, trench them… love them… and let them be… bring a forest of beings back to your world.
City-wide leaf and horticulture composting should be mandated. It should never be sent to the landfill.
