Celebrating eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi
Our city has come a long way from POP Ganesha’s painted in toxicity, leaching venom into the waters they are turned into. Delighted to see this in the Arcadia market in Gurgaon. Neatly lined unbaked clay Ganesha’s, now available on popular demand. Pl make you ask and check with the vendor you buy from that they ARE unbaked clay – and not POP painted in clay colour.
We are close to 2500 members in this community from across the country – if we share and appreciate images of such Ganesha’s and along with our own creative ideas – am quite convinced it will create more demand and awareness for environment-friendly celebrations. Ganesh Chaturthi is not far away – please encourage your family and friends to go for unbaked idols rather than creating another legacy of festival waste in the neighbourhood and rivers.#noidolwaste #nopopidols, #wewantcleanrivers #cleanfestivals #cleanrivers
